Webinars Scheduled on Retirement Changes

June 01, 2009
The Missouri Office of Administration which serves as the Missouri State Social Security Administrator will conduct a series of webinars for school districts to explain the 218 agreements and the Report to the Missouri Congressional Delegation.
These webinars will be specific to each category for ease in explanation. Because of the large number of school districts in Category 1, school districts have been divided into six different groups. However, if you are not able to participate on the date and time to which you have been assigned, you may participate in another time and date. Please go to the following website for a listing of the dates and times for these presentations: http://oa.mo.gov/acct/schooldistricts.htm.
Each session will have a brief narrated presentation followed by an opportunity to ask questions through a Q&A Chat. The sessions are limited to 90 minutes, so any questions you have that are not answered during this period can be emailed directly to the State Administrator at 218agreements@oa.mo.gov.
A separate session is scheduled for Category 1 districts to discuss the optional referendum. It is planned for June 29th at 10:00am. A brief explanation of the referendum will be discussed in the Category 1 sessions so districts can determine if participating in this additional session is necessary. This seminar will be held on June 29th from 10:00 am to 11:30 am at http://stateofmo.na4.acrobat.com/cat1ref/
In order for you to view the webinar, you’ll need an internet connection, speakers, and Adobe Flash Player 8.0.0.0 version or better. This is a free download available at http://get.adobe.com/flashplayer/.
If you are not available to attend your scheduled session, the presentation will be made available on the State Administrators website (www.oa.mo.gov/acct/schooldistricts.htm ) after the final session.
