MCSA Outreach recently announced the formation of a sixth Leadership Legacy Consortium (LLC). This advanced training in McREL’s research-based Balanced Leadership Model will be available to Missouri superintendents and central office personnel during the 2010-11 school year. You may register for this program online at www.mcsaoutreach.org
McREL developed the Balanced Leadership Model based on information from a meta-analysis of leadership studies conducted over the past twenty years. Their analysis proved definitively that “leadership does matter”. They identified distinct responsibilities school leaders have that are directly tied to improved student achievement. Training in the model is available exclusively from the Missouri Association of School Administrators (MASA) through the Leadership Legacy Consortium
The Consortium will consist of approximately 30 learning-focused superintendents from around the state who are dedicated change agents in Missouri schools. It will meet for four, two-day sessions during the next year. While being exposed to the latest research, participants will have opportunities to collaborate with their peers. Sessions will be comprised of a careful blend of research and practical application.
Dr. Pam Conway studied with McREL to become one of the first certified Balanced Leadership trainers among Missouri school administrators. The consortium will meet at the MCSA building in Jefferson City on September 14 & 15, October 5 & 6, November 11 & 12 and January 6 & 7, 2011. To secure your place you may register on-line at www.mcsaoutreach.org. There is a $200 per person discount for teams of three or more.
Upon completion of your registration, MASA will provide a press release for your local paper informing your constituents of your selection to the consortium. Should you have questions about the program please contact MCSA Outreach at 573-638-2653.
Don’t miss this opportunity for you and/or your administrators to participate in one of the premier leadership programs in the country.
