Bartow Golf Tournament on Sept. 15 at Lake Valley Country Club
Launch the media gallery 1 playerThe Gale Bartow Memorial Golf Tournament is set for Monday, September 15, 2014 at the beautiful Lake Valley Country Club in Camdenton. The tournament will begin at 12 noon. All MASA members and retirees are invited to participate.
This year, the MASA Past Presidents are honoring Orlo Shroyer. Shroyer served as MASA president during the 1993-94 school year. He spent 43 years in public education in Missouri. Orlo began his career in Savannah as a teacher and then became an Assistant Superintendent there. He went on to serve as superintendent in Montgomery City and Chillicothe. After leaving the superintendency, he was an Assistant Commissioner at DESE and in 2000, he was named Deputy Commissioner at DESE. He retired from DESE in 2003 and worked for Newton Learning for five years.
Lake Valley Country Club is a great place to enjoy a round of golf with colleagues and friends. The cost to play in the tournament is $80 and includes green fees, golf cart, beverages, prizes and meal. The grand sponsor for the tournament is Forrest T. Jones & Co., Inc.
