In light of the current situation in our state and nation, your leadership in each of your communities is key. As you know, Governor Parson has been clear there is no state-wide mandate for public schools to close. The direction has been for districts to work with local health departments to determine the best course of action for your schools and community. Naturally, there are myriad factors that must be considered, each of which may have a ripple effect.
MASA is here to help you in any way possible during these challenging times. I know that you will make fully informed decisions by monitoring the State Health Department, the CDC, DESE, MSHSAA and other pertinent entities. I also want you to know that I am available to visit with you at any point.
MASA has developed a page on our website to provide resources for our members (see below). We will continue to add and update information regularly. If you have information (including other valuable websites, letters, etc.), please share with firstname.lastname@example.org.
I truly believe we have many of the finest leaders in our state and nation. Thank you for your great work on the behalf of the children and communities we serve.
MASA Executive Director
