The Missouri Association of School Administrators (MASA) is pleased to announce the appointment of Chelsea Blair as its next Communications Director.
Blair will officially join the team on April 1, 2025, and will work alongside current Communications Director David Luther during a transition period before assuming full responsibilities on July 1, 2025.

Following a rigorous hiring process, Blair was selected for her extensive background in strategic communication, leadership, and public service.
With over 17 years of experience in state government, including her most recent role as Communications Director for the Missouri Department of Social Services, Blair brings a wealth of knowledge to MASA. Her expertise will be invaluable in supporting the organization’s mission and vision.

Recognizing David Luther’s Service
MASA also acknowledges the significant contributions of David Luther, who has served as Communications Director since 2015. Luther will continue in the role until June 2025, ensuring a smooth transition.
He will also maintain his leadership position as Executive Director of the Missouri School Public Relations Association (MOSPRA). MASA is deeply grateful for his years of service and the strong communications foundation he has established.
Blair’s Vision for Communications
As Communications Director, Blair will lead MASA’s communications strategy with a focus on strengthening member engagement, enhancing the organization’s visibility, and equipping school leaders with timely, relevant messaging tools.
She will collaborate closely with superintendents and education leaders across Missouri to amplify the important work being done in public education.
