Your first year as a superintendent is filled with both opportunity and challenge—and you don’t have to navigate it alone. MASA’s First-Year Superintendent Support Program provides no-cost support, personalized mentoring, and targeted professional development to help you lead with clarity and confidence.
Registration Information
The 2025–26 cohort is already underway, but if you plan to begin your superintendency in Missouri during the 2026–27 school year, registration will open in March 2026. Stay tuned for details!
What the Program Includes
Personalized Mentoring
Each participant is paired with an experienced Missouri superintendent who provides tailored support, insights, and up to 10 hours of face-to-face guidance.
This mentoring relationship meets the Missouri DESE requirement for transitioning from an Initial to a Career Certificate. Mentoring support is available year-round, including optional phone consultations.
Professional Development Access
Join fellow first-year superintendents, MASA staff, and veteran leaders for exclusive Water Cooler Wednesday Zoom sessions—an open forum to discuss timely issues, ask questions, and receive real-time guidance. These conversations are designed to help you thrive in your first year, not just survive it.
Exclusive In-Person Connection
The cohort meets in person for a special workshop and dinner in Jefferson City. These gatherings create meaningful connections and space to reflect, share, and recharge alongside peers.
