On Tuesday, June 24, the Missouri Association of School Administrators (MASA) hosted a heartfelt retirement reception at its Jefferson City office to honor three distinguished leaders: Dr. Doug Hayter, David Luther, and Larry Rowe.
Colleagues, business partners, and friends gathered to celebrate their remarkable careers and the lasting impact they’ve had on Missouri’s educational community.

In retirement, Dr. Hayter plans to spend more time with his family and pursue part-time opportunities. His leadership and impact on the association and the state’s educational community will leave a lasting legacy.
David Luther’s Continued Leadership
David Luther, who served as MASA’s Communications Director for a decade, was also honored for his contributions to the organization. While retiring from MASA, David will continue his leadership role as the Executive Director of the Missouri School Public Relations Association (MOSPRA).
His work in communications has been vital in fostering connections and promoting the association’s mission.
Larry Rowe’s 20-Year Commitment
Larry Rowe, MASA’s Facility Manager for 20 years, was recognized for his unwavering dedication and service. Throughout his tenure, Larry played a key role in the day-to-day operations of the association, ensuring its smooth functioning.
His contributions to the organization and the public education sector were invaluable and will be remembered for years to come.
