AASA National Conference on Education Information

The AASA 2010 National Conference on Education will be held February 11- 13, 2010 in Phoenix, Arizona. Online registration is now open.

This year, there is no Missouri room block. However, we are encouraging Missourians to select the downtown Sheraton. This is the headquarters hotel for the convention and the hotel where we have requested rooms for the Missouri Breakfast and President's Reception. The room rate is $210/night single or double occupancy. Other hotels in the immediate vicinity to this hotel and to the convention center are the Hyatt Regency with a room rate of $194 and the Wyndham with a room rate of $199. All three of these hotels are very nice.

Please be sure to check the schedule for the conference below. The conference will begin on Thursday morning and will end on Saturday, February 13. The Missouri Breakfast and President's Reception will be held on Friday, February 12.

Missouri Breakfast:  The Missouri Breakfast will be held at 7:30 am on February 12 in the Deer Valley room of the Sheraton Hotel.  Bruce Hunter, Associate Executive Director for Policy and Advocacy will be the featured speaker.  There is no cost to attend the breakfast which is being sponsored by Chartwell's Food Service and American Fidelity Assurance Company.

Presidents Reception:  MASA members and their guests also are invited to attend the Missouri President's Reception on Friday evening, February 12 from 5:30 p.m. to 7:30 p.m. at the Sheraton Hotel.  This event will honor MASA President Paul Kinder.  Primary sponsors for the reception are Dick Bartow and Greg Bricker of George K. Baum and Co. as well as PFM Asset Management, Bryan Cave Law Firm in Kansas City and Commerce Trust Company in Kansas City.
