Facility Operation & Facility Planning Workshop - MASA & MSPMA co-sponsors

Who should participate in this workshop?  Individuals responsible for the making long-range and / or annual decisions related to facility operations, management, planning and budgeting. This could superintendents, assistant superintendents, directors, maintenance and custodial.

 

This workshop will provide a hands-on, interactive opportunity to gain a higher level of understanding of your school district’s facility operations and needs for the future.  No matter the size of your district, administrators responsible for making decisions impacting facility operations and facility planning, including routine maintenance schedules, bidding projects, projecting cost and equipment life expectancy, etc., will gain valuable insight from this talented list of presenters.

10:10 a.m. - 11:45 a.m.        MSPMA’s Facility Operations Manual (please bring your laptop)

 

Administrators will receive an electronic template of the MSPMA’s operations manual and will have the opportunity to input and manipulate their own school district’s information during this presentation.  This manual can be used administrators and other individuals in your district that are responsible for maintaining facilities.

 

11:45 a.m. to 12:15 p.m.      Lunch

 

12:15 p.m. to 12:30 p.m.      MSPMA Update                             Charley Branham, Executive Director, MSPMA

 

12:30 p.m. – 2:00 p.m.         Building a Capital Facility Plan

 

Attendees will receive a second electronic template during this presentation related to facility planning, including formulas which can be used for estimating project and equipment cost.
